Queen Seon Deok - A Drama Worth Dissecting

There is something about historical fiction that draws my attention. Perhaps it’s the larger-than-life characters, memorable prose or even the extravagant setting and costumes.

I’ve recently completed a 62 episode drama created by MBC called Queen Seon Deok (QSD). Despite being a lengthy series, QSD maintained its appeal through every episode and left me on the edge of my seat in anticipation. I’ve watched countless dramas and read many historical novels, yet none has left me spellbound like QSD has.

And so here I am blogging about it.

QSD is a work of art. It is as perfect as a drama gets: compelling storyline, excellent prose, exceptional acting, beautiful scenery, extravagant costumes and heart throbbing soundtrack. QSD is so complex and multifaceted that the very thought of examining and dissecting every detail of it gets me excited!

Blogging about QSD is a way for me to hold on to the drama a little longer (I am not ready for a closure!). I hope the topics generate great discussions. I might even hold up my drawing pen once again to create millions of artwork in honour of this drama.

Until then, please be sure to come back and join me in my journey of rediscovering Queen Seon Deok and its narrative.
